Welcome to Sweet Cheeks!

We are a mother-and-daughter team with a passion for handcrafting. Our family has always been full of creative women, from cooking delicious homemade food from scratch, to sewing beautiful wardrobes, to creating unique artworks. Susan carried on with this rich tradition of handmade crafts, and Brianna grew up with this creative bond. Over the years, we've made everything from scrapbooks and artwork to hair bows, candles, and soap.

Our story took a turn in January 2020 when Brianna was diagnosed with Lupus. As her symptoms worsened, including extreme inflammation, sensitive skin, and hair alopecia, Susan was determined to find remedies that would provide relief. After an alarming allergic reaction to a pricey acne scrub, we were tired of spending money on products that irritated Brianna’s skin. So, we began researching natural solutions—and that’s when we discovered cold process soap. We were instantly in love!

During the 2020 COVID-19 lockdown, we spent hours testing soap recipes, refining our craft, and finally found a solution for Brianna’s sensitive skin. Brianna shared our creations on social media, and before we knew it, people were asking to buy them. At just 16 years old, Brianna quickly created a Shopify store, and our soap making journey began. 

Unfortunately, as the business grew, we both faced health challenges that slowed us down. Susan needed blood transfusions and gallbladder removal. Determined to get healthy for Brianna, Susan underwent gastric sleeve surgery in 2022 and has since lost over 150 pounds! Brianna also lost over 100 pounds alongside her mom. However, Brianna later faced new, rare health conditions. With proper treatment, both of us have found more stability, but we also lost some of the joy we once found in creating.

In 2024, we rediscovered that joy, and we wanted to create again with a fresh new direction. We decided to rebrand with the inspiration of our quirky and cheeky 10-year-old Chihuahua, Cheeky. She reminds us daily that a bright smile can truly change the world!
